Luxus meet Tuscan rustic charme intimate August wedding with
whites & greenery
​Natalie and Chris's wedding was an intimate 25 people. The design, although kept simple, had certain elements that gave hints of luxury and opulence. Contrasted against the rustic style of villa montanare in Cortona Italy, Natalie came out in the most fabulous Jaton Couture dress with a lace choker detail that seemed to come straight out of NYC fashion week! This really set the tone as to how far our imaginations wanted to go. It was a perfect atmosphere where guests could be comfortable in the relaxed upscale tuscan vibe, but equally not out of place if dressed to the nines! Natalie and Chris emphasized luxury style in a tuscan laid back way.

Romantic elegant - Our vision was a blend of relaxed elegance and traditional Tuscan charm. We imagined an intimate celebration at Villa Montanare, with a sun-drenched ceremony in a peaceful olive grove and a casual, yet luxurious, atmosphere. Guests enjoyed canapés on a terrace overlooking the valley, followed by a dinner under fairy lights among the olive trees and dancing in a cozy marquee, all set against the stunning backdrop of a Tuscan summer.

​Lisa and Gustav went for an organic and romantic vibe designed to transport guests to a picturesque and intimate atmosphere. Planned and designed by Weddings By Silke who came up with the perfect concept, a ceremony arch adorned with lush greenery and white flowers, and flowing fabric. Lisa has a special fondness for blue and white patterns that appeared throughout the details. The Italian atmosphere and nature added a lot to the style itself.

Fly to Italy for One Couple’s Ethereal Destination Micro Wedding at Villa Montanare in Tuscany
Any recent bride or groom will agree that planning a wedding during a global pandemic is, to put it mildly, a challenge. After Sarah Pisano and Alexis Maliksi got engaged, they selected a wedding planner and reviewed their options—which were seemingly limited at the time. “When we first connected with our planner in early 2021, travel still didn’t seem entirely plausible,” shares the bride. “We considered having our wedding locally in Vancouver for around 30 guests, but once we toyed with the idea of eloping in Italy or France, we changed our plans completely. We ended up having only six guests at our micro wedding in Tuscany!”

Our inspiration for the wedding was romantic old world Tuscan charm with a modern twist. We wanted the day to reflect who we are: fun and passionate. We pictured a cozy and charming atmosphere, interesting details and beautiful lighting. In the open garden, surrounded by olive trees, guests would overlook the Tuscan hills and witness the spring sunset. And that was what we had!“

Elegant wedding weekend in Tuscany with olive and citrus details
Are you planning a rehearsal dinner before your wedding? A formal dinner is nice but we just love the idea of a relaxed gathering with handmade wood-fired pizzas like Malin and Thiago's pre-wedding get-together in Cortona, Italy. Preludio Catering made delicious pizzas on site at Villa Montanare, a charming hidden wedding venue in Tuscany with breathtaking panoramic views over the Val d’Esse and Val di Chiana Valley.
Guests mingled at tables decorated by Weddings by Silke with Silk and Willow table runners, lemons, and mixed herbs including rosemary, thyme, mint, lavender, and sage. The handmade pizzas were arranged on wooden boards with pine cones, tomato vines, eggplants, and basil plants filled wooden crates that were repurposed as décor.
"Everything was perfect," bride Malin says of the kick-off party. "We couldn't imagine a warmer welcome for all our guests who were traveling so far to join us on our best day ever."
